Hiraeth Post is an independent snail mail project creating and sending monthly collections of stories, original art, paper goods, puzzles and little surprises. When you visit our website, subscribe to Hiraeth Post or contact us, we may process personal information that is necessary to provide our services and communicate with you.

The information we may collect includes your name, email address, shipping address, country, subscription or order information, payment-related information and any information you choose to provide when contacting us. We only collect information that is reasonably necessary for operating Hiraeth Post, processing and fulfilling subscriptions, communicating with customers and meeting our legal obligations.

We use your information to process and manage your subscription, arrange delivery of your monthly mail, send important subscription and order-related emails, provide customer support, handle cancellations or refunds, maintain the security and functionality of the website, and comply with applicable legal, accounting and tax requirements.

Hiraeth Post does not sell your personal information.

Payments made through Stripe are processed by Stripe. Hiraeth Post does not directly store your full payment card details. Stripe processes payment and customer information according to its own terms and privacy policy.

Hiraeth Post may also accept payment through bank transfer and UPI depending on the customer's location and the payment option selected. When you pay through bank transfer or UPI, we may receive information such as your name, transaction details, payment reference and other information necessary to identify and confirm your payment.

To deliver your monthly mail, we may share the necessary delivery information, such as your name and postal address, with the postal or shipping service used for delivery. We only share information that is necessary to fulfil the delivery.

We keep personal information only for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or for as long as we are legally required to retain it. Information that is no longer required will be deleted or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of your data, restriction of processing, objection to certain processing, or a copy of your data where applicable. Where processing is based on consent, you may also withdraw your consent.

Hiraeth Post is a monthly snail mail club offering curated physical mail containing original stories, artwork, paper goods, stationery, puzzles and other small surprises. The exact contents may vary from month to month depending on the theme and creative concept of each edition.

By purchasing a Hiraeth Post subscription, you agree to pay the price displayed at the time of purchase. The available payment methods depend on the customer's location and the payment option selected.

Customers in Germany may pay through Stripe or German bank transfer. Customers in India may pay through UPI or Indian bank transfer. Customers in other EU countries and countries outside the EU may pay through Stripe or German bank transfer where those options are available.

Payments made through Stripe may be set up as recurring subscriptions. Your first payment is made when you subscribe. After that, your subscription renews automatically on the 16th of every month until you cancel. Bank transfer and UPI payments are manual payments and do not automatically renew unless otherwise stated.

If you subscribe between the 1st and 15th of a month, you’ll receive the current month’s edition. If you subscribe from the 16th onwards, your first mail will be the following month’s edition.

For bank transfer and UPI payments, an order or subscription is considered confirmed once the payment has been received and can be matched to the relevant customer or order.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and correct shipping address. Hiraeth Post cannot be responsible for delivery problems caused by an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer.

Hiraeth Post prepares and sends each monthly mail to the address provided by the customer. Delivery times may vary depending on the destination, postal service, customs procedures and circumstances outside the control of Hiraeth Post.

Each monthly collection is created as a curated experience, and the exact items included may vary. Images shown on the website or social media may represent the general style or contents of an edition but may not always show every individual item included in a particular month's mail.

All original stories, artwork, illustrations, designs, photographs and other creative material created for Hiraeth Post belong to Hiraeth Post or their respective creators. They may not be copied, reproduced, resold, distributed or commercially used without permission.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to remove or restrict any rights that customers have under applicable consumer protection law.

If you have a recurring Stripe subscription, you can manage or cancel your subscription through the Stripe Customer Portal. Customers can use the portal to cancel their subscription, update their payment method and view relevant billing information.

For customers who paid through bank transfer or UPI, cancellation requests should be sent to hello@hiraethpost.com.

Renewal payments are taken automatically on the 16th of every month. To stop the next month’s mail and renewal, please cancel before the 15th of the current month.

Cancelling a recurring subscription prevents future renewal payments, but cancellation does not automatically mean that a payment that has already been processed will be refunded.

If a customer has a question about a payment, missing mail, damaged contents or another problem with an order, they should contact hello@hiraethpost.com. We will review the situation and handle it in accordance with the applicable consumer protection laws and the circumstances of the order.

For customers in the European Union, statutory consumer rights may include a right of withdrawal for certain distance contracts. Whether and how this applies can depend on the specific subscription and the goods supplied. Nothing on this page is intended to limit any statutory consumer rights that apply to the customer.
